If you're the type to either love or hate me for teasing teasers, you have Miss Orion/Kimberly to thank for your feelings. I promised her a teaser today, so... Here you go.
I groaned and threw my head into my hands, hoping the world would just swallow me up. I didn’t stay in that position for very long, though. “Cold Desert,” my second favorite song from the album, was just beginning. The moment the opening chords began to play, I shot up outta my seat. I sighed dreamily and clasped my hands together under my chin. Suzy saw the far away look in my eye and snorted, standing up with me and indulging my inner-happily ever after moment feelings.
The song hadn’t been played for more than fifteen seconds when I felt something warm on my left hand. I looked down and found a beautiful set of fingers wrapping themselves around it. I followed the arm, knowing full-well who it belonged to, and startled as Jackson began pulling me out of the aisle. He held my hand as he led me around the chairs and to the area that was completely empty. I had to fight every urge I had to interlock my fingers with his or simply pull away.
I had no idea what he was doing. We hadn’t spoken to each other in an entire day, though it seemed like forever to me. I couldn’t help but think that his hand was warm and soft and how I wanted him to hold it for as long as time would allow. I kept my eyes from floating to his ass. It was quite marvelous to be so close to that puppy but I didn’t want him to catch me staring… or drooling.
Dun dun dun! Not a lot, I know. Hence, a teaser! Anyway, to go along with the teaser promise I made to Senorita Kimberly, Chapter 13 will be submitted to Twilighted tomorrow. I'm only halfway done, but I'm working on it all today and tomorrow to pull of this deadline. She's a slave-driver, I tell you... A slave-driver!
On a serious note (cuz I do have one of those occasionally): Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the people of Chile and Hawaii. I can't even imagine the devastation and loss that has taken place in Chile let alone coupled with what's about to happen in Hawaii. Aftershocks are still continuing in Chile and the tsunami's impact will be affecting parts of the United States and other countries, as well. Please remember to keep these people in your prayers, too. C, CD reader Kirsten has family in New Zealand so please keep them in your thoughts. I know I will be. <3
Hawaii holds a special place for me. Suzy and I went on vacation there three years ago after her failed attempt to get to Europe. Long story, but, if you're interested, I'll tell you later. Anyway, I had never flown over water before and I was panicking like a MoFo. Thankfully, we landed safely all the way from New York. We spent a week in the ocean, snorkeling, climbing Diamondhead (volcano), watching sunsets on the beach, parasailing, and chasing Dog The Bounty Hunter. During a van ride back from one of our group activities, we somehow stumbled onto the set of LOST. Suzy was barely able to pull me back into the moving van. It took her almost an hour of pleading and threats to keep me from running from the hotel back to the set. :)
My thoughts, prayers, and heart go out to those affected by these horrific and tragic events. May God be with you. <3
